Mr, and Mrs, Harry Smith with Leonard were in the: Lakehead for a few days last week, District Commissioner Mrs, Ethel Maitland attended the Ontario Council of Girl Guide Association in Toronto on April 14th and 15th as a delegate from the Terrace Bay - Marathon District. Mrs. Maitland reported it a most inspiring and educational meeting with 227 delegates attending from all parts of the Province. During the Convention Provincial Com- missioner Mrs, Dr. Wilson was presented with the Award of the Beaver for her work, and later 178 Girl Guides received their Gold Cords in Convocation Hall, the Gold Cord being the highest award in the Guide Movement. Kae and Jack Anderson' with Fred, Kenneth and Debbie spent a few days last week in Pine Falls, Manitoba, as guest of Kae's parents, Mr. and Mrs. F,' Ford. The Dim Bulbs held their regular - monthly meeting Tuesday evening at the home of Ethyle Boyd, Plans were completed for their wind-up to be held May 25th at the home of Ev Garvin. The wind-up will be in the form of a T.V.
