MEMORIAL TROPHY Heap Big Smoke -- Ugh no fire}! that's what happened to the Paleface tribe last night at the local amusement centre, The Lunch pails finally, after four years of trying, iced an aggregation of tumblers, boxers, wrestlers and hockey players, and won by the tune of 3 goals to Nid, Victory is so sweet! The trophy looks excellent in its new surroundings} and life can be beautiful. On the whole it was a game worth attending and those who missed it are sorry, and those who didn't are sorry too -- a very good game all around] Many old crocks made their appearance (briefly) on the ice, and showed up to some disadvantage to their respective team, Also many young crocks were out there at a disadvantage tool Oh well next year, maybe life will be beautiful for the Palefaces??? The award will be in the form of a jacket donated by the Cumming Sports Centre. Two door prizes will be given and the winner need not be present so come out and support the Terrace Bay Amateur Hockey Association, All proceeds will be used to promote hockey in Terrace Bay from peewee to Intermediate, Tickets are available for 75¢ throughout the mill and at the door on Saturday night. 0-0-0 HOUSE LYAGUE HOCKEY PLAYOFFS TIED AFTER FIRST THREE GAMES The first game of the House League Playoffs was played on March 3lst with #3 shift coming out on top with a score of 11-6, Ist period #2 was leading 2-1. Goals were scored by M,. Campbell and Waghorn for #2 and Kurylo for #3. The only penalty in this period went to Kurylo. In the second period #3 shift got three goals with credits going to Bottomley and MacDonald (2) and Timpano scored one for #2. MacDonald received the penalty this time. The last period was fast and furious and goals were piled up. #3 shift got credit for 7 and #2 shift scored 3.
