| an d 7 Ss ! coum ) aROUND THE Tou RECIPE OF THE WEEK GINGER REFRIGERATOR COOKIES 1/2 cup melted shortening 4 3fh cups sifted flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 3 teaspoons ginger 1/4 cup fine granulated sugar 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs 1/2. « cup molasses 2 ' tablespoons ice water Sift together flour, sada, salt, cine namon and ginger into mixing bowl, Add Sugar, bread crumbs, molasses, melted shortening and water. Combine thoroughly, Chill dough 1/2 to 1 hour, Shape chilled dough into rolls 2 inches in diameter, Wrap in waxed paper, Chill overnight or at least 8 hours in refrigerator. Using sharp knife cut dough into 1/8 inch slices, Arrange on ungreased cookie sheet, leaving space between cookies to allow for spreading. Bake at 350°F, (Moderate oven) for 8 to 10 minutes, ~ Remove cookies from pan. Place on wire cake rack to cool.
