sattnoeneenern VREDIT UNION NEWS "Those of us who are actively working in Gredit Union work know and realize the benefits and advantages that come our way wuen we invest our savings no matter how small they may be, in share capital .of our Credit Union, To us who are working with it all the time it is old stuff and are inclined to forget that there are lots of our friends and neighbours who have not been informed of these benefits that are open to them through these channels, First and foremost it is always nice to have a nest egg saved up for a rainy day. The larger that nest egg the better feeling of security that we have. Then too, and this is where we as members of the Executive very often fail to explain to our members and prospective members is the insurance that . automatically is placed on your life as soon as you become a member of a Credit Union, To be a member you must have at least one full share which is $5.00. Then for every dollar that you have in share capital in a Credit Union it is another dollars worth of life insurance on your life i.e, - a member who has. $1000,00 in share capital before he or she comes the age of fifty five years has for free and no cost to the member whatsoever one thousand dollars worth of life insurance which will be paid to the member's beneficiary at death. Gonvamks cm of Kiwanis International held in Saskatoon, District No. 1 of Kiwanis includes the Kiwanis Clubs of the Lakehead, Atikokan, Fort Frances and Terrace Bay.
