Vice-President Peter E. Mazza acted as Master of Ceremonies for the presentation programme. After welcoming the guests to the evening's entertainment, Peter called unon Gordon Rowlandson, Chairman of the Terrace Bay Recredtion Association to present the Fraser-Brace Trophy, emblematic of softball supremacy, to Jim Moro, captain of Shift #2 (Inter Lake services), In his romarks, Gordon congratulated Jim and his boys for their wonderful fete, as well as taking the eccasion of congratulating the Softball Executive and thanking all players who helped towards the success of the League, In his brief response, on behalf of his tcam, Jim thanked Gordon, Fraser Brace, his spensors Inter Lake Services, the Softball Executive and the personnel of (Cont. on next col.) rT ! J McGuinness Co, Ltd., Sec~ retary M. Betty Austin presented their five trophies in commencing with Benny Grose for his 500 in the Highest Batting Average. For his twenty-four times of circling the.bases, Jim Moro was present«4 with the Most Runs Scored trophy. Becatseo of nineteen runs scored through his efforts, Henry Krahn was awarded the Most Runs Batted In trophy. The Best Pitching Record ended in a tie between pitchers Ed Aho and Alf Adrian with a lowley 2.05 earned runs average charged against these best pitchers of the season. _ What had been held as a tight secret from the time of its decision to the moment of its announcement, the Most Valuable Player award, tied between Shortstop Henry Krahn of Shift #4-Structural and First Baseman .
