AROUND THE TOWN (Cont. ) Te CAUCE Mr, George Cotton of Winnipeg along with Norah and Curtis Cotton of Fort William were weekend guests of his son Reg Cotton and family. Guests at the Frank Whitfields last weekend included-his parents, Mr. and Mrs, Frederick Whitfield and his brother and family, Mr. and Mrs, Hugh Whitfield with Bobby, Dennis, Donny, Kenny, Linda and Alvin, all of Winnipeg. Frank's Mother will remain as their guest until October, Mr. and Mrs. Barney Tackney arid family of Fort William were down for.the long weekend as guests of Betty and Bill Cavanaugh, Gordon Savoy left Monday for Royal Roads the Military University at Victoria, B.C, where he will major in Chemical Engineering. Mr, and Mrs, Bert Lohr and family took a quick-motor trip last week to Duluth, and to Winnipeg and Morris, Manitoba where they visited with friends and relatives, before returning Monday. Rose and Jim Corrigan returned Mon- day from their motor trip east. They were accompanied by Mrs, Ploughman who went . to Toronto to visit with relatives and Mrs, Phillips whom they took right to Niagara, New York for her holidays, Enroute they had stopped at North Bay to visit with Mr, and Mrs. dim Denny. Returning they picked up Walter who had spent the summer as gusst of Jim's uncle and aunt, Mre and i.rs, Mike Cremmins before going to St. Catherines to visit with Mr, and Mrs, 4 Dahl. They spent a few days attending * the Toronto Exhibition, then to Windsor for a visit with Jim's sister, Mrs, Brock Jones, coming home by way of Detroit and Bay City, Michigan, Superior and Duluth . Minnesota, Mr, and Mrs, Hugh Fultoh with Hughie Jr. and Melvin Cooper of Fort Willian spent the long weekend with Mr, and Mrs, Ab Farrow. Mr. and Mrs, Gerard Fecteau with Donny and Earl of Fort William spent the past week visiting with the Alex Marquis family.
