My. Burke gave the Graduation Address. ie, Burke, for a moment referred to the amazing progress made at Terrace Bay, Mr, Surke remembered well when it was known as Black Siding. Each visit here impressed Mr, Burke and he was pleased that this progress was carried to the employees as indicated tonight by the progress of these two men to fradesman status. Foley, Head of Maintenance & Construction Div., of Staff Engineering, Kimberly-Clark Corp., then presented the 'graduates with their handbooks and Cei-tifi- 'cates of Graduation, The handbocks Mr, Foley pointed out, were personal gifts from Jim Whelan, Ghief Engincer. of Kimberly Clark, Mr, Foley said that the handbooks may in some cases show a different way of doing' things thaa had been taught. Mr. Foley advised'the graduates that when they do any jobs to ask themselves "What is the Better Way", For we all must progress in our voation and do things the: better ways Mr. Foley then congratulated the graduates, Lou Duguette on behalf of Reg Payette and himself expressed their appreciation to the LongLac Pulp and Paper Company and the Kimberly Clark Yorporation, for making this course possible, 'Appreciation was expressed to J. C. Wig, the Advisory Committee, Ken Hutchinson, all the Superviscr: and their respective foreman, Howard Solly, and Cal Harvey.
