The game started out as a real pitcher's duel when Frank Whitfield retired the first 9 #4 men and Chopty allowed but 1 run in the Ist 3 innings of play. Leading by 6-5 in the top of the 7th in a very close and interesting game #1 really went to work. Scoring 7 big runs on only 4 hits but 5 costly errors #1 took a very commanding and "safe" 13-5 lead into the bottom of the 7th, If ever a team didn't say "die", it was #4 in that 7th inning. They matched #1's 7 runs to come within 1 run of tying the score, With 2 outs and men on lst and 2nd (the tying and winning runs) Ray Stachiw came up for the second time in the inning. Ray had a chance to climax a great rally but hit a fly ball to end the game. Zigman (#1 2nd baseman) and Legault (#4 3rd baseman) were the hitting stars of the game. Both men got 4 for 5, Line Score: Re H. BE. In three separate innings promisin: rallies were killed off by the thoughtless antics of the T-M team, The game was an interesting one through - out, giving the good crowd a nice evening's entertainment, It was anybody's game all the way, but #3 made good advantage of the breaks given them by T-M. Chris Demas was the man with the big bat for #3. With the bases loaded and 2 out in the last of the lst, Chris hit a long triple to knock in 3 runs. Bill (Cont. on page 8)
