A large crowd gathered in the Aud- itorium at §:30, The draw for this prize began immediately. President Ed Cavanaugh appointed a Committee consisting of Betty Austin, Nels Allen, and Norval Banks to conduct the draw, Every ticket was checked, the number of the ticket and the name of the purchaser was called as the ticket dropped in the barrel. The barrel was given numerous turns and finally Arthur Trudeau pulled ticket No, 86 for Stan Sztukowski. He reminded everyone how fortunate the residents of Terrace Bay were in having a first class Arena available for hockey next winter. But Mr, Cavanaugh stressed to the fathers of the young boys who had yet to learn to skate or play hockey, that skaters and hockey players were made on the outdoor rinks, The parents then were urged to have small outdoor rinks in the backyards and to get the boys started early in developing our future hockey talent.
