Won out over the Schreiber ladies team, To rep. this district in the Ladies North Western Play-downs to be held at Fort William on March 15th and 16th, This is the first year,the lady curlers have had such an event "so come on you gals" bring that cup back to Terrace Bay so we can display it in our brand new Rec, Center 'Anyway loads ef luck, 0-0-0 ATTENTION FIGURE SKATERS March arrived like a Lion, thus one more week-end of ice is almost assured, How- ever, due to the ice conditions which have prevailed during the past couple of weeks, it has been decided that next_Sunday will be the last session we will have for this season and all skaters are urged to be in attendance on Sunday, Mareh 7th at the Schreiber Arena to wind up this year's act- ivities of the Figure Skating Club, Plans for a small skating carnival have been dropped for this season as the condition of the ice is not too good, and another warm spell is almost certain to put an end to the ice, However, with the completion of (cont. on next col, Page 5 FIGURE SKATING (cant,.) the new Community Centre here in Terrace Bay, which is expected to be early in the Fall, an early start is assured for next seasone We are very happy to announce that arrangements have been made to have a photographer at the Schreiber Arena next Stinday to take pictures which will appear in the next issue of "Co-op Magazine". As mentioned before, all members of the Figure Skating Club are urged to be in attendance in their best "Bib and Tucker" with clean white skates and laces to have their pictures taken, If you have a short skating skirt or outfit, by all means wear it, but if not, come dressed in slacks and a nice sweater, Please do not come bare legged, Spring may be around the corner, but we don't want you to miss the forthcoming warm weather laid up in bed with a bad cold, We have been advised that the next issue of "Co-op" will be featuring Figure Skating in Terrace Bay, so be in atten- dance to have your smiling face appear in this widely circulated magazine.
