This matter has been fully investigated and plons have been drawn to include an i firena, Curling Rink, Bowling .illeys, Billia- rd Room, Library, Lounge, Snack Bar and Gemes and Meeting Rooms, If Torrace Bay residents wish to pro- ceed with this venture it is going to ree quire the help of the people of the community and for this reason a meeting has | been called at the High School Auditorium for 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 25th. Full do- tails will be explained at the meeting but (cont, on page 5) LARGEST CIRCULATION IN TERRACE BAY May 21, 1953 VAL SAaTUR Ne ee 'SOFTBALL LEAGUE OPENER 'SUNDEY On Sunday afternoon 2:30 p.m. the loecnl softball season will officially get uncerway when last year's Championship Structural Squad will face the Maintenance crew, Most of the "old reliables" will be back at their regular spots with the team, but the odd new face will be seen here and there, Alf "The Arm" Adrian will not be back at his old spot on the mound for Structural as he is working shift work this year on No, 3 Shift. The Champs have not named their starting pitcher as yot, but no doubt they will come up with some "dark horse", One of their newcomers is Rollie "whistle" Gauthier, having a rest from his whistle-tooting chores bctween hockey seasons, Mcintenance haven't named their starting battery as yet, however it is expected that Stan "Panda" Zsaresh will likely be assigned the hurling duties for the afternoon, Maintenance will show at least one new face in the form of Ed "Vice- Pres" Pineault., This game promises to be a real humdinger. Don't forget game time is 2230 pi. In the evening game that is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. SHARP, Shift No. 2 and Tow- site, led by John Jeanneret will tangle for a first victory. We regret to report that at the time of going to press we do not have much news to pass on about the strength or predictions of either of these teams.
