During the business part of the meeting, it was decided not to hold the monthly meetings during the months of July and August, Mrs, Ostling reported that the sum of $242.53 had been collected in Terrace Bay to be turned over to the Cancer Fund. Mes- dames Ostling and Goodfellow re ported on the District Annual Convention held recently in Fort William, which they and Mrs. Farrow attended. On June 2nd, members of the Insti- tute attended a Fire Drill at the School and on thet occasion presented a plaque to Grades 5 and 6 for Proficiency in Fire Drill. at the close of the evening tea was served by the HoOstesses Mrs. Haughn and Mrs. McInnes, The next meeting will be held et the home of Mrs. Solly at a date to be announced in September, o~0+0 4A NOTH OF THANKS FROM THE NAVY 'The Naval Re-Union Committee wishes to offer their thanks and appreciation to all those who contributed in any way to make the Re-Union the success that it was, The entire affair may be summed up in Lieut. We A. Elliott's words when he made the comment that "this is one of the most enjoyable stag Re-Unions I have had the pleasure of attending." Hotel Terrace, Kiwanis Club, Canadian Legion and local merchants are only a few that deserve special mention, Thenks also to John Jeanneret, Frank Sechesky, Neil Ross, Ossie Dalzell and Gino Cacamo for their assistance in various capacities.
