This reduction of 50¢ per ton on coaj. taken before December lst is granted due to the saving in rehandling the coal from the railroad car to the stock pile and from the stock pile to the delivery truck, It will also be mich casier to deliver coal to houses before the snow flies, Orders for fucl should be placed with Joe Heenan in the Adminis- tration Office. 0-0-0 _ SKI_ CLUB MEETING HGLD - SEPTMBER evth On ionday evening, September 27th Ski Club 't enthusiasts met in the old Personnel Building, Lower Camp, to discuss plans for the coming season, "Although the crowd was not large, those present were very enthusiastic about the pessibility of blazing a new ski trail, and a committee tc investigate locations was picked. This conmittee consists of Jin Whyte, Ed Burke, Pat Gilbride, Hugh Brophy, Bob Sheppard and Garnet James. The conmittee plans to spend much of next Sunday looking over possible locations for a ski trail. It was decided at the meeting that elections for the 148 4 '49 season would be de- ferred for the time being. The next meeting of this organization will be held on Monday evening, October 4th at 7:30 pem. in the old Porsonnel Building, Lower Camp. Everyone at Terrace Bay interested in skiing during the coming scason is urged to be present at this meeting as a number of important decisions must be made. OmO-0 ANGLERS' CONTEST CLOSES TODAY The Second Annual Anglers! Contest sponsored by the ; Terrace Bay Fish and Game 4Ssociation closes officially at midnight tonight. Early in Septexber the closing date of the Contest was extended from September 15th to September 30th in three of the four clesses due to the fact that it was hoped thet large lake trout caught, particularly in late September would be entered in the Contest. For some reason or other, however', the big fish have been refusing to biteduring the past few weeks and the result has been thet no changes have occurred in the standings since last August, and unless some last minute entry is made this evening the stendings listed below will be final, In each of the four classes three prizes are offcred with e special additional prize in each 'class for the lady catching the largest fish, No person however, will be per- mitted to win more than one prize.
