Terrace Bay Girls To Play Rockettes At Lakehead July llth The Terrace Bay All Svar Girl's Softball Toam will journey to Port Arthur on Sunday July 11th to play return games with the Rockettes who were guests at Terrace Bay a couple of wecks ago. Despite the fact that the local girls met defeat twice at the hands of the Rockettes, they have high hopes of emerging victorious in at least one of the encounters of the double header which is scheduled. Incidentally the Rockettes are in first spot in the Lakehead Ladies' League. Following the recent visit of the Lakehead team to this community, the Rockettes sponsor, Herb McComb, forwarded to the Terrace Bey girls, twelve pairs of ladies softball stockings. It was certainly a sporting gesture which is sincerely appreciated, Men's House League The Hydro team continues to show the way in the six team mon's League, having suffered but one defeat in seven starts. Jn the game played on July lst between Comets and Alkies, the final score of 24-4 for Comets suvmed to be convincing enough. However, due to a breach of regulations, the game has been protested by the Alkies and the protest will be dealt with at the special softball mecting scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13th.
