In recent weeks, Northern and Northwestern Ontario heve experienced the worst spring forest fires in years and while it is known that some fires have been started by lightning, others have definitely resulted from carelessness on the part of smokers, campers and mem- bers of picnic parties. We would again urge that everyone take every known precaution to eliminate any possibility of a forest fire caused by carelessness.
