George Reid is coaching the Longlac team and considerable improvement has been shown by the players. Perhaps the score won't be so one-sided this time. cecereccese 000 NCOMETS' vs. "ALKIES" In a regular game of the Softball House League held last Monday night, Comets swept through their rivals Fraser Brace Alkies by a decisive score of 17-0. The superb hurling of Frankie Whitfield met by the great catching of Fort Erie's Don Gow was 2 great factor in seeing the Comets, last season's semi-finalists, resume their usual fine dyle of playing ball. Art Klingbell deserves a let of credit for the way he piloted his flashing Comets to victory. The thundering clubs of JoJo Heenan set off the big offensive while all the Comets hit at close to a .700 mark, We understand that "Muscles" Brady is slowly coming to mid-season form. "Meet" Campbell and Steve Brodack also played heads-up ball. Fraser Brace took the defeat in fine style headed by their own rollicking clown "Beef" Cemeron, whose only comment was, "We were robbed", : Highlight of the tussle was the excavation near second base made by 2 slide of one of the heavier boys on the Comets.
