Page 4, LARGE ATTENDANCE AT EASTER TEA The Ladies' Auxiliary of the Terrace Bay Community Church held a highly successful Easter Tea and Bake Sale on Wednesdey March 24th in the Recreation Centre, The many guests were received by the president, Mrs. Rune Ostling and the general convenor, Mrs. L. Martin. Mrs. Clayton Guest and Mrs. D. J. M. McCausland presided at the tea table which was beautifully centered with pale pink and white snapdragons. Tea hostesses were Mrs. William Lowe, Mrs. Jemes Isbester, Mrs. S. Hodgkiss, Mrs. W. Covington, Mrs. Douglas Colquhoun, Mrs. R. Buck, Mrs. Earle Veitch and Mrs. C. Wakeham, Much credit is due to the convenors, Mrs. H. C. Laundy and Mrs. David McDonald, who so capably planned and carried out the tea table arrangements. table of gay Easter baskets, novelties and favours was well-patronized. Those in charge of this display were; Mrs. Andreas Christensen, Convenor, Mrs, Monty Paget, Mrs. E. Marriott, Mrs. G. Rowlendson, Mrs. Douglas Johnson, Mrs. D. Colquhoun, Mrs. Clarence Smith, Mrs. George Coulter, Mrs. J. Knight and Mrs. F. Soughton. The well-stocked bake table was the centre of much attraction. The convenors of this table were Mrs. H. S. Craig and Mrs. Marvin Lemon with the following assistants; Mrs, P. Harris, Mrs. Scarfe, and Mrs. A. Heuer. Advertising was under the supervision of Mrs, James Duncan, The overwhelming success of this first venture of the newly organized Ladies! Jusiliory was very encournging to the members and the generous co-operation of everyone was most gratifying. O11 0 TERRACE GROCETERIA OFFICIAL OPENING APRIL 14TH IN PERMANENT LOC/ TION Plans are nearing completion for the opening of the first unit of Terrace Bay's modern shopping centrc, On Wednesday April 14th Terrace Groceteria will officially open. Their temporary store in the Lower Camp will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, April leth and 13th. The staff and proprietors of Terrace Groceteria would like to take this opportunity of thanking the housewives and people of Terrace Bay and surrounding communities for their support and forbearancé under the crowded and difficult conditions which have existed in the temporary location. Business hours in the new location will be: 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m, daily except Wednesday. Wednesday - 9:30 2.m. to 12:00 noon (excepting, of course, opening day, Wednesday the 14th).
