Last summer Fraser Brace donated a trophy for annual competition in the Softball House League. Trophies for annual competition have been presented to the Curling Club by the Hudson's Bay Company and the Imperial Bank of Canada. Recently the Terrace Bay Hockey Assoc- iation was advised by Northern Wood Preservers that in the near future a plaque would be «forthcoming to be presented annually to the team winning the Championship of the House League. The Badminton Club executive has requested that we note that they are in need of two trophies to be presented annually for singles and doubles competition, The editor of Terrace Bay News will be most happy to hear from any individual or organization interested in donating either or both of thesé trophies. In the meantime, many thanks again to those who have been so generous in the past. 000 FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK The first issues of Terrace Bay News were published in December 1946 but it was not until March 1947 that it was possible to ine augurate "The News" as a weekly paper "devoted to the interests of everyone connected with the LongLac Pulp and Paper Company Limited project of the Kimberly-Clark Corporation," During a complete year of regular publishing, it has been our aim to currently report local news, pass along information related to local fire and accident prevention, and keep everyone abreast of information regarding activities and coming events at Terrace Baye To those who have submitted articles or information around which an article has been written we extend our sincere thanks.
