"Probably nowhere in Canada at the present time is there such a concentration of brand-new industrial construction as PULP AND PAPER has witnessed at Terrace Bay, and the most notable feature .of all is the speed with which this section of Northern Ontario wilderness has been transformed into a busy community. .+- ... The towsite!s natural charm has been retained by the company's wise pol- icy of keeping as many as possible of the original trees standing. The effect has been to give infant Terrace Bay townsite the cool, shady and settled atmos- phere of a long established town in summertime: the picturesque appearance of a Christmas card village in winter."
