- Vic and Gladys Hartley were members of the Figure Skating Club in Fort William. Vic Hartley was a club Director in 1951 representing Fort William. In Fort William, The Hartley's rented a single floor of a house on Harold Street which is still there. Gladys (previously trained with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet) started her dancing school in Fort William, Ontario.
