- This garage was located on the Five Mile Road about a mile from the townsite. The property was purchased by Fred Manz from the Mill in 1955 and he built Fred's Texaco. Fred left the Mill in 1968 to run the garage full time, and full time was an understatement, he kept the garage open almost every day of the year. The business became Fred's Esso in 1990. The garage closed in 1997, leaving the community with no gas station. The building was demolished in the summer of 2004.
