Captain Terri Bailey Gurney ; began Thunder Bay harbour career working summer in ticket book and snack bar of Welcome (ship) ; under ownership of Captain Jack and Norma Gurney, Richard and Joan Johns ; daily harbor cruises ; popular trip up Kaministiquia River to Old Fort William ; Welcome Ship classified a minor water Number 2 voyage vessel ; capacity of 200 passengers ; practical experience and studied ; in 1981 after six hour oral and written examination got captain's ticket ; younger Captain Jack Gurney and Terri married in 1983 ; have shared captaining and narration of tours ; Terri received bachelor of science degree in biology in Toronto in 1981 ; wrote RN exams ; photo
