arrived here in 1907 ; Mr. Greaves born in Barbados ; in Boer War ; met and married Emily Bagley ; first employment with Woodside Foundry ; worked on Current River dam ; years of laboring included working on Prince Arthur Hotel, Ruttan houses, Mariday Park ; went back to sailing as chef until 1929 ; learned new trade as galvanizer ; retired as galvanizing foreman in 1947 ; Mrs. Greaves centered life around St. Michael's Church ; conducted Girls' Auxiliary, past president of Ladies Orange Benevolent Association ; photo
