My, that will be glory. To dwell with saints we know. Now that is a different story. ... Anonymous The bald eagle holds many qualities. They know if they are to learn, they must honor the parents. They mate for life, year after year returning to the same nest to hatch their young. They have no natural enemies, and are respected by man and beast. They are able to soar, glide and fly above the highest cliff endlessly. Sounds like a dream beyond reach. Not, when we learn to lean on Jesus. Isaiah 40:29-31 ...“He gives strength to those who are tired and more power to those who are weak. Even children become tired and need to rest, and young people trip and fall. But the people who trust the Lord will become strong again. They will rise up as an eagle in the sky; they will run and not need rest; they will walk and not become tired.†Ps. 103:4-5, 11...“He saves my life from the grave and loads me with love and mercy. He satisfies me with good things and makes me young again, like the eagle...As high as the sky is above the earth, so great is His love for those who respect Him. He has taken our sins away from us as far as the east is from the west.†Allow His love to dwell within, enabling you to love the unlovable. He gives you strength to forget those hurting words. Jesus extended His grace to you. Going out of our way for others will become part of our life. My rights become dissolved in Jesus righteousness. You don’t have to tell how you live each day You don’t have to say if you work or play, A tried, true barometer serves in this place. However you live, it will show in your face. The deceit that you bear in your heart Will not stay inside when it first gets a start, For sinew and blood are a thin veil of lace. What you wear in your heart, you wear on your face. If your life is unselfish, if for others you live For not what you get, but how much you give, If you live close to God in his infinite grace, You don’t have to tell it, it shows in your face. .....Anon Love in Jesus Chaplain Lenora Rowsell Front Row, L-R: Florence Rask, ???, ? With a short deadline for the application, it was for “project ready†applications. A contract will be signed with Oceans and Fisheries to accept funding of $27000 for dock materials, for the boat launch, main and floating docks. This money has to be spent by March 31. The works department will do the work. The township will take part in the Ontario Good Roads Association “Municipal Data Works†program, which allows free participation and allows withdrawal at anytime if it doesn’t seem to be worth the time it takes to do it. CAO Mannila is also exploring another program that does the same thing. The annual report from the Nipigon Fire Department was accepted. The report showed that 2007 was the most costly year ever reported for the fire department. Council accepted, with regrets, the resignation of Maureen Kusick as the EDC secretary. An ad has been placed for a new one, but the replacement will be held off until a new EDO has been hired. The Mayor reported that 8 letters of support have been received re the recycling project, so the application can now go forward. The minutes of from the Marina Committee were accepted with a revised recommendation. A lengthy discussion took place with Brad Larson and the Council over the redesign of the dock repairs. Apparently there was some misunderstanding between the Committee and the Public Works (not the engineer, but employees) who each thought they were doing the job. Council asked that the 2 work together since the final design and recommendation will have to pass the Public Works/Council approval.
