A NEW YOU! Rev. 21:5... “The One who was sitting on the throne said, ‘Look! I am making everything new! ’ Then he said, “Write this, because these words are true and can be trusted.†A man on his death bed said, “When I was young, I was so foil of selfish ambition. In my arrogance, I thought I could change the world. When this failed, I then decided to take steps to change the country. Upon failure, I then turned to my community, then my family, but this too failed. I realized that I was the one who needed to change. If I set a godly example within the home, then would I see a change in my family. My family would then be able to reach out in our community, even our country and maybe one day the world for Jesus.†The fruits of the Spirit begin in the home. Joel 3:10... “In our inadequacy let us say we are going to be a strong soldier in the army of the Lead.†Jude 1:20... “Allow His Spirit to pray through us.†Hosea 14:2... “Come back to the Lord and say those words to Him: Take away all our sin and kindly receive us, and we will keep the promises we made to you.†Acts 19:20... “So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed." Meditate in His Word. Water it with prayer. Persevere and live in the freedom that Jesus gives. Mountains will become smaller and smaller as the Word of God grows bigger and bigger. We can become an over-coma-! Look beyond ourself. Isa. 43:18:19... “The Lord said,‘Forget what happened before, and do not think about the past. Look at the new thing I am going to do. It is already happening. Do you not see it?’ 2 Cor 5:17-21... “If anyone belongs to Christ, there is a new creation. The old things have gone; everything is made new! ...’’Christ had no sin, but God made him become sin so that in Christ we could become right with God.†Make 2008 a year of transformation and let that transformation begin in YOU! Osala sees the skiing for youngsters as an alternative to only hockey and curling in the winter months. Cross-country skiing can be done alone or in groups and can be done for a half hour or for 2 hours. Beginner loops range from 1-7 km and advanced loops up to 10 km. While the terrain is mainly gentle slopes, the flat areas provide a good work-out for skiers and the trails provide for both classic and skate skiers. One skier commented on the fact that at the Karhu Nordic Trails, one can sign in at the start of skiing and then sign out on the return -and if the skier doesn’t come back after a length of time, Osala would know to go looking. Other trails in the area might leave a skier injured or with broken equipment for some hours before help arrived.
