Tuesday, December 20, 1960 NORSHORE SENTINEL 6, RED ROCK RAMBLINGS by Bunny McAuley We are sorry to say two Red Rock, boys have had accidents and will likely be spending Christmas in hospital. Paul Dufour suffered a very bad accident to his hand while cutting a tree and Larry MacDonald fell and broke his leg. Larry is in Nipigon hospital and Paul is in the Lakehead. On Saturday the Red Rock Legion was host to about 200 children for their annual Christmas party. Candy, peanuts, pop and ice cream were constantly being passed out in the hope that every child would get their fill. But even Santa had to admit it is almost impossible to completely fill such a large energetic group of children. Some very interesting films were shown by Miss Cheryl Billingsly. To Legion members and Mrs. Kuraliak who worked so hard,many thanks. Mr. and Mrs. C. Reynet left Saturday by car for Flor- ida where they will spend their vacation. Mr. and Mrs. D. Mayhew are spending their holidays in Eatt.em Ont. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson of Hamilton, Ont. have returned home after spending a week in Red Rock, guests of their son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. C. Anderson and family. Mrs. A. Currie of Toronto and Elliot Lake arrived on Sunday to spend the holidays with her son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. A. Currie and family. James Foley a student at Ryerson in Toronto is spending the holidays with his par ents Mr. and Mrs. R. Foley. Mr. and Mrs. J. Halter and daughters F lorence andNancy will spend the holiday season with Mrs. Halters parents in Toronto. Arriving home on Dec. 23 for the holidays will be Jack Farrell son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Farrell. Jack is a student at Queen’s University. Miss Joan Rendell who is attending Teachers College in Winnipeg, Man will arrive home on Dec. 23 to spend the holidays with her parents Mr. and Mrs. J. Rendell. Donna Billingsley of Teachers College, Port Arthur will be home with her parents Mr. and Mrs. W. Billingsley. Gerald Marks, student at the University of New Bruns wick will arrive by train on Dec. 23 to spend two weeks at home with his parents Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Marks. Miss Dorothy Krofcer who is in the R.C.A.F. stationed at Aylmer, Ont. has arrived home to spend a month with her parents Mr. and Mrs. A Kroker. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hartley of Gladstone, Man. will spend the holiday with Bob’s parents Mr. and Mrs. H. Hartley. Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Perkins will have as guests over the holidays; Mr. and Mrs. J. Perkins, Mr. Perkins parents, from Flesherton, Ont., also Mr. and Mrs. A. Gosse from Sault Ste. Marie and Mr. and Mrs. G. Kirby.
