I was on Miss Martha's Romper Room...I couldn't be a Do-Bee one time because I pushed a little girl who wouldn't share the Plasticine play station with me. I remember it like yesterday.

HELLO TO ALL MY ROMPER ROOM DOOBIES. WHAT A WONDERFUL SURPRISE! Actually, this is a photograph of me, "Miss Martha" when I was the Romper Room Teacher in Thunder Bay, Ontario. I'd love to hear from some of my Romper Room Doobies who probably have grandchildren of their own about the same age as my Doobies were when Romper Room existed. I'd also like to see some pictures that were taken by the parents during the show. Romper Room was one of the highlights of my entire career and continued when I moved to Toronto, but in a different venue. I actually produced puppets and created RCA Victor recordings using my different voice levels in another TV show called Buttercup Lane which was seen in Toronto ON. I must say I still remember and enjoyed every minute of Romper Room and had the time of my life. Every child was special to me and I will always remember it with fondness as I enjoyed sharing a fun time with the children. I was also sorry that some of the children who wanted to be with us on TV never had the opportunity because of the TV station's programming changes. I'll write more next time. "Miss Martha"

Hey Miss Martha: What a wonderful surprise to see that there is an actual website and you are posting on it. I was just talking about my career in television (short lived. I think I peaked to soon and much to my chagrin everyone piped in on how they remembered it. I left Thunder Bay 40 years ago but one of my earliest childhood memories was being on your show. Warmest regards

I remember being on this show. If I remember correctly my parents bought your house when you moved to Toronto.

I was on your show in 1960-63. I had platinum blonde hair and was asked to do a second week. I think I wore a plaid skirt or jumper.

I was on a few times with Miss Martha.
I only spoke Italian at the time, so it was an experience which I still recall, as it was mentioned here, like it was yesterday.
One episode stands out as my finest moment on TV. During milk and cookies time, I recall stuffing my face with cookies and as the camera was panning, I had my drink of milk and threw up just as the camera pointed at me. I was still invited back.
Good times!!

LOL, I'm looking at my diploma which is a bit yellowed to say the least, June 18th, 1962 to June 29th, 1962, and it states I was at all times a good Do-Bee. That was 60 years ago. Hope you are in good heath Miss Martha. I remember you well.

My Grandma IS MISS MARTHA!
She is 91 years old!
I grew up with tons of stories of her days on the show. She loved being Miss Martha soooo much and loved making the children laugh and clap.
