Presidents Point Mansion, Silver Islet. Built circa 1880 - summer home for President of the Silver Islet Mine, Alexander Hamilton Sibley and his wife, Marie Louise (nee Miller). President’s Point hosted royalty from Europe and industrialists and investors from America. After the mine closure and abandonment, the property was used as a campsite for Boy Scouts and visitor families. The mansion burned to the ground sometime around WWII.
