My dad was in a head on train accident in Kakabeka Falls, Thunder Bay sometime in the late 1940's...The engineer lost his life...I wonder if its the same crash?

Thinking this was Nelson West, this would have been around 1948 - 49...this happened just west of Schreiber.

If this involved two trains, this may have been a wreck in 1944. My grandfather was an engineer, George Beardsley Crompton Sr. He lost his life in a head on train collision (hauling a load of paper) in November 1944 near Bear Pass, Ontario. He was the only fatality.
