- Description
- Pre-loading device developed by Northern Wood Preservers for preparing complete truck loads. Poles or logs are delivered down the river by water to this point where they are lifted out of the water by a special automatic gate arrangement. This lifts the poles up onto an elevated platform, then they roll down into two hanging cables. These cables hold about two thirds of a load. The other third of a load is held on the deck within cables. When the truck arrives, it backs the trailer under the hanging load. Cables at Wabinash Lake, 1942.
