OBITUARY Mr. James Isbester, the Well Known Contractor Is Dead Ottawa, Ont., September 3. - (Special) - The news was received here today of the death in Winnipeg of Mr. James Isbester, of this city, one of the oldest and best known contractors in the Dominion. Mr. Isbester was, for many years, in partnership with Mr. G. W. Reid, of Montreal. The firm Isbester & Reid had several contracts with the Dominion Government, notably that for the Cape Breton extension of the Intercolonial Railway. Mr. Isbester had large interests in the Northwest, and has been in Winnipeg for some time, where he was taken ill, and on Wednesday last his wife was telegraphed for, and left the same day, so that she was with him when he died.
