My mother and father built the first grocery store in Terrace Bay in Sept - Oct 1947. Their names were Marjorie and Glen Lumbers. The enclosed pictures were glued into a family album so I'm sorry for the condition but thought they might be of interest. When I toured Terrace Bay after an absence of 43 years I was astounded at the changes. I noticed our house at 124 Poplar Cres. was torn down and replaced, however am including a picture or two of it's construction in 1947. The shopping area was extremely changed, and am also including pictures of its original construction.
