Guide crest designed

Debbie Wise of Terrace Bay Girl Guides, Aguasobon District, has designed an original crest which will be manufactured and put on sale for guides of the Superiordivision.

The crest, depicting a campfire with brown wood for brownies, blue flames for guides, red for rangers and yellow for cadets, bears the inscription Superior Division LA. It was selected in a design competition which was entered by six divisions representing the Superio Division.

Ed Trapp of St. John's Ambulance was on hand at the last guide meeting to teach the girls mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, using his dummy victim, Resusci-anne.

The community church will hold a rummage sale 7-9 p.m. May 26, and 10 a.m. to noon May 27. The men of the church will hold an auction in conjunction with the rummage sale. The church is also planning a family Sunday for June 4, which will consist of a potluck picnic and indoor and outdoor games at the church.

The veterinary clinic is slated for June 13 when two veterinarians from Sault Ste. Marie will give examinations and shots and will perform neutering and spaying operations.
