- Black and white photograph of Silver Islet, taken from "Irish castle", the high part of the cliff from the avenue. The spire of the old Catholic Church can be seen on the left. The building on the right is the stamp mill where ore was crushed. Also on the right is Suprise Lake, some 25ft. higher than Lake Superior, which is located on the far left corner of the picture.
