My Dear Billy,
I [trust] this letter will find you well +
We've got about 12 in of snow us this way + its still
snowing like (Busker Best) the snow of course only
began last night [while] I was in the [Pictures]. I
suppose you will remember the wicker Picture
Palace dont you.
I went to the Abbot hall about 3 weeks ago
to see [Rev.] [Hui] if ever I get over to your part
of the world dear you want to see it as its
[great] I went to the Abbot Hall 3 times to get
in and waited [two] hours at a time to see it but
it was worth it.
Our poor little [Babes] has had the measles, poor
little kid + our Betty has left school to buy
[sing] its making me look old and if [illegible]
by give I shall be nineteen soon + never been
washed [illegible] or mangled.
Well dear you never wrote yet to say whether
you've received the wallet yet + I'm so [worried]
you know you are [such] a [long] way from us and as
I often wonder if you are happy in that
I went to Dawson's in [Fargate] a fortnight ago
to ask what conditions I could go to Canada
for and they gave me a book all about Canada
but really it is so expensive with the things one
has to have on the voyage + [train] journey.
Do you reconise this Photo of me no doubt I
shall have altered from when you last saw
me. I wish you could have a photograph taken.
I haven't one only when you were about eight.
of course I don't suppose you will have any
where, were you can have your photo taken have
I went to see Auntie Ada at [Donnall] last
Sunday + she does look ill.
[Edwin Mason] is getting married on Easter
Monday to a girl named Gladys I don't
know her other name but I don't [recon] very
very much to her.
I think Auntie Ada is worrying her self over him,
they are going to live at home with Auntie Ada + Uncle Herbert.
So we'll hope that Edwin + Gladys will
be happy eh.
The [twins] at uncle Bernard's have had measles
I suppose you will remembers Lizzie she had flu
very bad + poor kid she's gone as thin as a nail.
I think everybody is suffering from Cold or measles
in Sheffield lets hope you haven't got measles or
anything like that I suppose if you had all the
boy pals would pull you leg for you dear.
I think this is all for the present dear but
look out for some comics by the nearest
your ever loving
