- From the 1970s through the 1980s, Mel Robertson wrote many articles for the Burford Advance and Burford Times on the history of Burford Township. This set of clippings contains the eight-part article Stores, Shops and Sundry Social Spaces, which ran from June 2 to July 21, 1974. It is a part of his series on the social history of Burford Township, and describes the various stores, shops and social spaces of Burford's history.
