- From the 1970s through the 1980s, Mel Robertson wrote many articles for the Burford Advance and Burford Times on the history of Burford Township. This set of clippings contains the two-part article The Poison Shelf, which ran from November 5 to November 26, 1980. It describes the toxic cleaning supplies and other poisons, drugs and other dangerous substances which were once a staple of household "poison shelves."
