- Description
- This 1905 photograph shows a community threshing which includes the Goold and Cutcliffe families. At the time it was taken, powerful agricultural machinery was unaffordable for individual farmers and it was common to share equipment among an entire community; these types of events had a feeling not unlike pioneer "bees." The image was printed on pages 166 and 167 of The Work of Our Hands by Sharon Jaeger, and was provided by Linda Guest.
