- Description
- This photograph depicts a group of Penmans clowns parading in Paris near the Arlington hotel. It was probably taken in the 1940s.
It was probably taken during the same parade as 1999.4223.10, linked to on the right, because one of the same clowns can be seen in both.
The signs are hard to read; however, some of them may read
"JOHN M. RITCH[illegible] [GROCER?]"
"SODA BAR
Nielsons ICE CREAM"
"COPELINGS[?] DRUG STORE" - Notes
- The original photograph is very faint and hard to see; it has been digitally enhanced. The original version is also available.
The original photograph is printed on Velox paper. - Date of Original
