- This ledger documents much of Capron's business from the 1830s to as late as the 1860s, organized by name and date. It includes an index at the beginning with the names of the people with whom he did business. It also includes a list of Capron's "bad debts," and lists of "Family Records" containing dates of births and marriages.
The annotations by Roger Sharpe provide background information on this ledger, as well as several other Hiram Capron ledgers. These annotations are reproduced with permission and are copyrighted. Republication of these notes requires the author's permission. - Notes
