- Description
- This 1883 history book documents the history, people, and places of the County of Brant as it existed then. In addition to its historical sections, it includes a section of portraits of notable locals, some of whom were still alive at the time.
"County of Brant" is used to refer to a geographic region rather than the current municipality by the same name, and includes the city of Brantford.
Because of the time at which it was written, the Paris section includes reminiscences on Hiram Capron by Parisians who had known him personally.
A biography on page 658 is quoted on page 9 of At the Forks of the Grand, Volume I. - Notes
- The OCR files were donated by the Brantford Public Library. Their electronic version of the book is linked to on the right.
