- This photograph depicts a group of young boys playing at British vs. Boers c. 1900, at the time of the second Boer War. The photograph was taken at Hamilton Place, then the home of Paul Wickson and his family. The photograph was taken by Wickson, and the boy in the centre with the sword on his shoulder is his son Norman.
