In the 1913 Dominion competition, the Paris Scout Troop won the title of King's Troop of Canadian Boy Scouts. C. B. Robinson was the commissioner and Alfred Scott (third from the left) was the district scoutmaster. As a British reservist, he was called up on August 6, 1914. He was the first man to leave Paris for the war. Part of the audience that watched the King's Troop put on a demonstration. One glance at the women's hats will indicate why the movie-houses of the day flashed a notice on the screen: 'Ladies will please remove their hats.'
