Description

Headstone for David Jones and his wife Eliza Jones. David was originally from Wales and was 71 years old when he died on March 4th 1879. Eliza was 70 years and 7 months old when she died on December 8th, 1890.

There is also a marker for William Jones and his wife Sarah and a second marker for Marion Jones. William was born in 1840 and died in 1869. Sarah J. (maiden name Whaley) was born in 1846 and died in 1873. Marion Jones was born on August 25th 1855 and died on April 1st 1929.

Based on dates, it is likely that William and Marion were the son and daughter of David and Eliza.

Notes

This headstone is located in the Second Onondaga Baptist Church Cemetery which was established after the church was built in 1854. The Church and Cemetery are located on 330 Baptist Church Road, 0.3 km south of Mulligan Road.
