- Description
- Headstone at Salt Springs Cemetery for Thomas R. Hamilton, his wife Grace, and two Hamilton siblings John and Jessie Hamilton. Thomas was born in 1901 and died in 1971. Grace (maiden name Pickard) was born the same year as her husband and died in 1968.
John H. was born in 1897 and died in 1967. Jessie I. died in 1986 and she was born in 1907. It is unknown how John and Jessie are related to Thomas and Grace, but based on dates they were likely siblings of Thomas'. - Notes
- Located right next to the Salt Springs Church on the Grand River, the Salt Springs Cemetery has been in operation since 1822. The cemetery is still active under the management of the Salt Springs Cemetery Board of Trustees. There is a plaque on the property that tells the history of the Grand River Mission.
