Description
Headstone at Salt Springs Cemetery for several members of the Dickinson Family, including Joseph and Sarah, their children George and Margaret, their daughter in law Annie, and their grandchildren Harry Leroy and Sadie Belle.

Joseph was 94 years old when he died on April 18th, 1900. Sarah was 84 when she died on December 18th, 1899.

George died on October 9th, 1942 and was 83 years old. Annie (maiden name Wilson) was 87 when she died in 1950. Their infant daughter Sadie Belle was only 5 days old when she died February 10th, 1893.

Margaret Irene Chapin (Maiden name Dickinson) was born in 1888 and died in 1918. She was married to Milton Chapin and together they had a son, Harry Leroy who died in 1909 at one month old.
Notes
Located right next to the Salt Springs Church on the Grand River, the Salt Springs Cemetery has been in operation since 1822. The cemetery is still active under the management of the Salt Springs Cemetery Board of Trustees. There is a plaque on the property that tells the history of the Grand River Mission.
