Description
Headstone at Salt Springs Cemetery for George Wilson, his wife Rachel, and possibly his grandson George. George Wilson died on April 28th, 1875 at the age of 63 years and 7 months. Rachel (maiden name Ellis), his wife, died on February 11th 1894 at 80 years and 6 months old. They were both originally from Holinfirth, Yorkshire, England.

The second George, and likely the grandson of the above, passed away on January 21st, 1892 at 4 years and 2 months old. His parents were Henry & Abby Wilson.
Notes
Located right next to the Salt Springs Church on the Grand River, the Salt Springs Cemetery has been in operation since 1822. The cemetery is still active under the management of the Salt Springs Cemetery Board of Trustees. There is a plaque on the property that tells the history of the Grand River Mission.
