Description
A Tweedsmuir Village History scrapbook compiled by the Burford Women's Institute. This scrapbook contains newspaper clippings, photographs, and handwritten recollections of historical events. Covers a variety of topics in the historical area of the Burford Township. Topics can be of memorable events, contemporary politics, members of the community, economy and development, or even small anecdotes from the time.

The Tweedsmuirs are a collection of scrapbooks created by Women's Institutes that outline the local history of their area.
The Tweedsmuir Village Histories are named for Lord and Lady Tweedsmuir, the former being the Governor General of Canada from 1935 - 1940. Both had a reputation of being committed to Canadian culture and literature.
