- Description
- This image is of a headstone at Lang's Cemetery for Sarah Langs, born February 7, 1800 and died April 5, 1880 at the age of 80.
- Notes
- The Lang Cemetery is behind the barn on the east corner of Hwy No.2 and the Madden Road. It is no more than half an acre in size. There are a number of graves without stones. Most of the stones had foot stones that have been removed. This is a family cemetery but in the early days travellers going through have died from epidemics and other reasons and some are buried here with no markers.
Sarah Langs was the wife of John Langs, the mother of George Alfred Langs, was the sister of James Westbrook, and was the daughter of Major John Westbrook and Elizabeth Gage, who are both buried at Westbrook Cemetery. - Inscriptions
