- Description
- This image is of a headstone at Lang's Cemetery for Rebecca J.C.D. (Jane Cain Devere) Lowrey, born March 4, 1863 and died July 20, 1863 at the age of 4 months.
- Notes
- The Lang Cemetery is behind the barn on the east corner of Hwy No.2 and the Madden Road. It is no more than half an acre in size. There are a number of graves without stones. Most of the stones had foot stones that have been removed. This is a family cemetery but in the early days travellers going through have died from epidemics and other reasons and some are buried here with no markers.
Rebecca J.C.D. Lowrey was the daughter of Morris Lowrey and Catharine Lowrey, the sister of Harry Dare Lowrey, Wilhelmine Lowrey and James W. Lowrey, and the maternal granddaughter of Edward Lampkin and Sydney Lampkin. - Inscriptions
